We scoured Styleist.com, Time magazine, OK! magazine, Access Hollywood, CBS News and many other sites to come up with a list of the best dressed stars at this year’s Academy Awards:
Michelle Williams landed on every “Best Dressed” list we saw for her coral Louis Vuitton.
Best Supporting Actress winner Octavia Spencer landed on most Best Dressed lists for her Tadashi Shoji dress. Time said it was “downright statuesque,” while CBS said it was “flawless, but predictable.”
Time’s absolute best-dressed star was Jessica Chastain for her “stunning, black and gold bespoke Alexander McQueen gown.” She made nearly every best-dressed list we saw.
Milla Jovovich was universally loved for her “white, bejeweled, one-shouldered gown by Elie Saab Couture,” according to CBS.
Gwyneth Paltrow’s Tom Ford dress (and cape accessory) was figure-flattering and a “menswear-inspired outfit,” according to Time.
Stacy Keibler’s dress earned a best dress from Styleist, who called it ”golden glamour at its best.”
Rooney Mara landed on both best and worst lists, but Forbes called Rooney’s Givenchy dress a ”frosted fishtail Givenchy ensemble with sculptural bodice and gauzy overlay.”
CBS News said Jennifer Lopez looked “unbelievable in her Zuhair Murad dress with a plunging neckline.” Time and Access Hollywood also had her on their “Best” list.
