At the 2003 MTV Video Music Award’s, Madonna seemed to give her blessing to Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera, passing the pop star torch with a kiss that would titillate some and outrage others.

Nine years later, Madonna is enlisting the two ladies for her MDNA tour. This time around though it seems she might need their help.

After less than stellar attendance on the headline making European leg of her world tour, the Material Girl is already letting fans know that Christina Aguilera is appearing at the October 10 and 11 shows in L.A. to spurn some interest. Both shows still have tickets available.

Adding to the buzz is the announcement that Britney will also be “attending” the Oct 10 show.

There is no word yet on if the new judge for The X Factor will join Madonna and Christina on stage. It’s clear though that Madge is bringing out the big guns for her U.S. tour.

The tour kicks off tomorrow, August 28, in Philadelphia, PA.
