He holds the record for the longest tenure of any cast member on the fabled NBC show “Saturday Night Live”, and he’s in town to perform at Magooby’s Joke House through Saturday.
Darrell Hammond recently admitted in a book, “God, I Hope You’re Out There or I’m F***ed” about the long years of abuse suffered at the hand of his mother. He will be performing a audio version of the book in front of a live audience later this year in NYC.
Darrell talked about his many impersonations he performed on SNL, the book and its impact, and his lifelong love of baseball.
While the book dealt with some very serious issues, Darrell said he managed to find humor in it.
