According to a survey by a British toothpaste company, the average person smiles seven and a half times a day, but one of them is fake.

People average one fake smile a day, and the person you’re most likely to smile at when you don’t mean it is your boss.  51% of people who admitted to fake smiling said they give one to their boss.

The most cheerful people smile about 11 times a day, and the grumpiest people only smile once.

And a lot of us have trouble with smiling at inappropriate times.  One in five people admitted that they’ve smiled at a funeral, and almost half of us have smiled in the middle of a heated argument.
