Just in time for the release of The 20/20 Experience, Justin Timberlake unleashes the official video for the album’s second single “Mirrors.”

The dramatic clip opens on a young woman clad in mid-century underwear, crying thick mascara tears and quickly shifts to an elderly couple who mirror each other’s movements. It’s immediately clear that, as expected, this video will tell the story of a relationship.

It’s not always a happy one, as we see the couple’s early years in what seems to be an Outsiders-inspired socs vs. greasers meet-cute. Through time we get a hint of their marriage, a hint of them in the ’70s (with lots of Godfather inspired fashion) and eventually the elderly man disappears from the picture.
