Every Song From ‘Stranger Things’ Season One

By Amanda Wicks

Netflix hit series Stranger Things takes place in November and December 1983, and the pop and rock songs used throughout the series reflect a particularly 80s feel thanks to inclusions like The Clash and The Bangles.

The series’ score will be released digitally this Friday (August 12). Spread across two volumes, the first features 36 tracks from Austin, Texas, musicians Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein, who are part of the experimental synth quartet S U R V I V E. The second volume arrives August 19th.

As of now, there don’t seem to be any plans to make the songs used in the series available as an official soundtrack (distinct from the score). While Netflix has released a Spotify playlist, it doesn’t contain every song heard in Stranger Things. To tide listeners over, here’s a comprehensive list of the pop and rock heard over the first season’s eight episodes.
