Prince, Gone Too Soon…

It’s hard to believe it’s been almost a year since Prince passed away.

Everyone I know was just blown away by his unexpected death. I am a huge fan of Prince’s music having seen him 3 times in concert. He was one of the most amazing artists I have ever seen. He did his music on his own terms and I don’t think people really knew how versatile he was as a musician.

All you need do is look at Youtube and find the videos of him playing guitar with bass funkmaster Larry Graham doing a cover of a Sly and The Family Stone song, of his haunting version of Radiohead’s “Creep” at 2008’s Coachella or doing an awesome version of the Foo Fighters “Best of You.” And who can forget that earth shattering guitar solo on cover of The Beatles “While My Guitar Gently Weeps” with rock royals like Tom Petty and Steve Winwood.

If you haven’t seen any of these videos, treat yourself.

According to the website Diffuser.fm, there is some previously unreleased music from Prince that is about to become available.

The Ep is called “Deliverance.” However, there is already legal drama behind it’s release. I suspect that is going to become status quo since it has been rumored that Prince left tone of unreleased material.  The Prince music catalog is now available on Amazon so if there is any of his music you didn’t have, didn’t hear or didn’t know you wanted, it is now available. Rock In Peace Prince.

Your music will live on forever.
